Lost in Osaka!
Updated: Nov 17, 2019
I witnessed a few tourists stranded in JR Namba station with their suitcases next to them outside the ticket gates last night. They obviously looked lost checking their smartphones and looking at the ticket machines, so I walked up to them and asked what the matter was. They were from Italy, and one of them was going to Kansai Airport, but the rest of them were going to Izumi-Sano, near but before the airport, and they didn't know how to get to the places, what time the trains would leave and arrive, or how to buy the tickets. So I asked the station attendant for them, and she told me that Izumi-Sano belongs to another train company, not JR, and advised us to go to Nankai-Namba station.
I walked the Italians to the station, which was quite a walk, and I thought it would be hard to find the way even if you read and spoke Japanese!
